Hello My Name Is...
My name is Ranada January. I was born and raised in McPherson Kansas. After high school, I continued my education at Emporia State University. It was here that I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Rather than pursue my career in education, I was given an opportunity to travel throughout Europe. When returning from my travels, I would do some substitute teaching within the area elementary schools.
In 1993, I married my husband Leon and moved to our home in the country outside of Little River. Together we have three children, Morgan, Colin, and Amanda.
My time spent in the classroom has varied over the years. I have worked as a substitute in four different school districts; however, there have been situations in which I have filled in as a long-term substitute due to many different circumstances that have occurred.
Now I am enjoying my time teaching third grade! Spending time in the classroom working with all the wonderful students and teaching staff at Windom Elementary is a rewarding experience that I look forward to each day!
